Biography
David Nachtigall represents property owners and public-use clients in condemnation matters, as well as individuals and businesses general civil litigation. David’s experience includes representing individuals, organizations, and public-use entities in state and federal court.
Prior to joining Joyce, McFarland +McFarland, David worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. David is an experienced trial lawyer who has tried cases to County and District Court juries ranging from misdemeanors to capital felonies. David also served in the Special Prosecutions Bureau where he prosecuted complex financial crimes including embezzlement, money laundering, securities fraud, theft of trade secrets, insurance fraud, mortgage fraud, and health care fraud. David has worked alongside individuals, government agencies, and businesses to conduct financial crimes investigations and build cases from the ground-up. David has broad knowledge of white collar grand jury investigations, and has worked extensively with forensic accountants, fraud examiners, and state and federal law enforcement agencies including the FBI, United States Secret Service, FDIC, Texas State Securities Board, Houston Police Department, and Harris County Sheriff’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, David was invited to speak on behalf of the District Attorney’s Office at investigative agencies, law schools, and high schools on various topics in criminal law.
In addition to his experience as an attorney, David has a background in information technology and software design. Prior to attending law school, David worked for a multinational consulting firm where he developed software for a Fortune 500 company.
